How far behind the speaker does AI interpretation run?
On the sessions published here, the AI voice starts 6.5-8.3 s after the speaker begins a sentence and 2.6-5.0 s after the speaker finishes it (medians per language, measured on each session at the server; add about 0.25 s for the audio to reach a listener's phone). The interpretation follows the speaker sentence by sentence, as a booth interpreter does, rather than word by word.
Which languages does Interpretwise AI interpretation support?
More than 80 languages, any pair and both directions, with automatic language detection when the speaker switches language. The demos on this page were recorded from English and Portuguese into English, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, Lithuanian, Arabic, Japanese, German, and Čeština.
Does AI interpretation need booths, receivers or other hardware?
No. Listeners scan a QR code and listen on their own phones in the browser, with live captions and no app download. The organizer needs one clean audio feed from the stage: a USB audio interface, a mixing console output, or Zoom, Teams or any platform that outputs audio. Each language can also be sent to existing IR or FM receivers.
Are the demo recordings edited?
No. Each replay plays the unedited output of the live session: what the speech recogniser produced and what listeners heard, recognition and translation slips included. Every replay page lists the full transcript per language with timestamps, and the latency measured on that session.
